History

The World Evangelistic Enterprise Corporation was incorporated in March 1961, "to own, maintain, and operate such non-denominational Christian ministries as deemed advisable in order to propagate the Gospel wherever possible."

The first project was Radio Station WEEC, which began gospel broadcasting on December 15, 1961. Though the Corporation has always been non-profit by design, WEEC operated its first year as a Christian commercial station.

On December 15, 1962, all commercial announcements and secular music were eliminated. From that time, approximately 80% of its programming has been Christian, and 20% Public Service and News. The station is now wholly supported by free-will contributions. An Annual SHARATHON is held each January, to raise Faith Promises for the next year's operation. The Corporation is Tax Exempt, and is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization. Its programming purpose is to "present Christ in a non-argumentative positive manner, depending on the Holy Spirit to convince man of their need and error, offering Christ for Salvation, and obedience for blessing."

For 42 years now, WEEC has been beaming Christian and public service programs to people within a general radius of 75 miles from Springfield, Ohio. The Lord has provided funds in a marvelous way down through the years, and we praise Him for His Provision, His Salvation, and His Instruction to all of us who listen.

As part of its "world" outreach, the ministry provides partial monthly support for two missionary families doing radio work, both in Honduras, and one single missionary working in evangelical audio/visual communication in Florida.

The Corporation is goverened by a Board of Trustees, all of whom donate their time.

World Evangelistic Enterprise Corpration is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, and is audited by David C. Dye, CPA. Audited financial statements are available upon request.
