Sharathon 2010

Have you suffered a significant loss? Maybe you’ve said goodbye to a loved one and the grief is still fresh. Perhaps you’ve lost a relationship and the void in your heart cannot be filled. Maybe you’ve lost your job and it has shaken you down to the core. If you’ve lost part of your retirement, it can rob you of your peace.

There is good news however....

Though this life is all we know, this is not all there is. The Apostle Paul reminds us that: “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” We, who have placed our trust in Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, cling to God’s promise that there is more, much more!

We Still Believe is the theme for our Sharathon 2010 to be held Tuesday through Thursday March 23-25, 2010. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 we read: “For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the arch-angel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.”

Sharathon 2010 will be an extremely encouraging time as we focus for three days not on today’s trouble but on tomorrows triumph. To quote the lyric in the Collingsworth song: “We still believe we’re just about to leave”.

That belief pushes us here at WEEC with an urgency to be about our Heavenly Father’s business, the business of winning the lost and drawing Christians into a closer walk with Jesus Christ. As your listener supported Christian radio station, we can’t do this work without your help.

Sharathon is the time in the spring when we ask all our listeners to stand with us prayerfully and financially in the coming year and let us know by way of a Faith Promise what they believe God wants them to share with the ministry here.

If the Lord tarries in His coming and we have 2010 in which to serve Him, we have much work to do to spread His Word. We need the help of all those who benefit from this Christian Radio ministry. Can we count on you?
